Cathedral Arts of Dallas
Founded in 2011 as a center for discovery, inspiration and community building through the arts at St. Matthew’s Cathedral, Cathedral Arts has built an enduring link to the professional arts community. In honor of her son, the Justus Sundermann Gallery, a gift of Sally Sundermann, hosts frequent public exhibits, lectures, concerts, and receptions. A major capital campaign installed a superb concert grand piano in the Great Hall to support a season of fine musical offerings. As of 2026, Cathedral Arts resides at St. Matthew’s as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, independent of the Cathedral and the Episcopal Diocese. In keeping with its mission, Cathedral Arts events are open to the public at no charge. For more information and ways to participate in the life of Cathedral Arts, visit online at cathedralartsdallas.org.
Justus Sundermann Gallery
With regular new exhibits, the Justus Sundermann Gallery is a perfect venue for local artists and a treasure for Cathedral regulars. Each exhibit includes an Artist Reception that brings new faces to our campus. The sale of artworks benefits the artists and Cathedral Arts. The Justus Sundermann Gallery is open on Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and by appointment.
